Current Notice
Due to the current budget situation of the state capital of Mainz, cost-cutting measures totaling €45,000 are required for the Mainzer Rheinfrühling event.
This can be achieved through the following measures: Elimination of night security; the fairground operators’ associations will cover the costs of fencing off the Hochkai for the fireworks displays they organize, as well as the costs of the emergency power supply and fencing off the Tiefkai in the area from the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke to the Mainz river gauge.
If these measures prove insufficient, additional costs can be reduced by shortening the event by one week or by closing it on certain days, such as Tuesdays.
