The Coordination Office for Citizen Participation of the state capital Mainz is the interface between residents, city administration, city council, and municipal committees for all questions relating to citizen participation. It is located in the mayor's office and coordinates participation processes in Mainz. It is the administrative and coordination office of the Advisory Board for Citizen Participation and maintains the pages on Mainz.de dedicated to citizen participation.

Our services and tasks

• We advise on all questions relating to citizen participation in Mainz.
• We support Mainz residents in initiating their own participation processes.
• We provide information about ongoing and completed participation processes.
• We support the specialist departments in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of participation procedures.
• We organize the meetings of the Advisory Board for Citizen Participation and are responsible for its management.
• We update the list of projects and all other information on the citizen participation pages on Mainz.de.
• We evaluate the participation procedures and compile a comprehensive report every two years.
• Together with the Advisory Board for Citizen Participation, we continue to update the "Guidelines for Citizen Participation in Mainz."
