Finthen fit for the future - district development process

_imageLink.sp_imageText.trim

Brief description

As part of participatory neighborhood development processes, the long-term development prospects for each neighborhood are developed in collaboration with local residents. The Office for Urban Research and Sustainable Urban Development coordinates and organizes these processes in consultation with the local advisory councils and relevant administrative departments.

Through a collaborative process of brainstorming and discussion, the long-term development prospects are identified and translated into concrete measures for implementation. In addition to residents, local political representatives and institutions are also involved.

Citizen participation

Following a resolution by the Mainz-Finthen Local Council (see “Further Information”), the focus will be on the future development of the Finthen neighborhood. Under the title “Finthen Fit for the Future,” public engagement events will be held for Finthen residents and community organizations. These events will be facilitated by an external consulting firm. The goal is to discuss and develop future developments and development opportunities for the district.
