Planned planning and implementation period

The youth conference took place in mid-November. The young people's projects will be implemented within a year of the youth conference, i.e. by around November 2025.

Expected costs

The costs for the youth conference itself amount to approximately €8,000. It is not yet possible to estimate the costs for the subsequent project groups.

Current processing status (October 15, 2025)

268 students took part in the 3rd Mainz Youth Conference. After a welcome address by Mayor Nino Haase, the young people had the opportunity to discuss their city and develop their own project ideas. At noon, they presented these ideas to representatives from city politics, city administration, and other interested parties. All project groups were then invited to implement their ideas. Many project groups have been working on implementing their ideas since the beginning of the year. An overview of the work of the project groups is available on the project page (opens in a new tab) (see Further Information).
