The new Mombacher Strasse: rescheduling

Photo Anni Eisler Street South

Brief description

In recent years, there has been significant development along Mombacher Straße. The Old Jewish Cemetery has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status as part of the ShUM sites, and the Deportation Ramp Memorial at the junction with Goethestraße is in the planning stage, which is why an increase in tourist traffic is expected in the future. Hotel and office buildings as well as student housing have been added. The Mainz-Bingen commuter cycle route (PRR) will run along Mombacher Straße in the future and end at the fahrRad.Parkhaus/Hauptbahnhof West. Due to these new developments, a traffic plan has been drawn up by the city planning office.
