The VDP winery Kühling-Gillot in Bodenheim near Mainz has been awarded the prize for architecture, parks, and gardens. The famous pavilion with wine shop is located in the middle of the historic estate complex with its Art Nouveau villa and park-like garden. Narrow glass openings in two places offer a view of the red wine barrique barrels stored behind. The tasting room with bar, lounge, and terrace offers a panoramic view of the tree-lined garden.

This unique wine location is elegant and clear in form and material. Wine, architecture, and design only harmonize when they are perfect, according to the credo of the self-proclaimed Bodenheim "stone wine producers."
