The association "Die Mainzer Winzer e.V." is a regional association of 26 wineries in the Mainz area. Their common goal is to present the cultural asset of wine in its many facets in an exciting way and to bring it to life. This is done in the wineries themselves as well as at numerous events, such as the wine marathon, Best of Mainz Wine, or the premium tasting.
The most well-known wine venues for Mainz winegrowers are the wine bar on the banks of the Rhine and the Mainz Market Breakfast, which has become a cult event that attracts visitors of all ages. The jury was also impressed by this distinctive wine tourism service and awarded the initiative the Best of Wine Tourism Award 2019 in this category.
