This summer, the Mainz Environmental Store is once again hosting a swap event, this time with a focus on gardens and balconies. From July 1 through August 28, little treasures can find new owners. You can swap or give away items during store hours.

Swapping is free of charge. Each person may bring up to three items. Everything should be small enough for one person to carry. If someone doesn’t bring anything but would like to take something home, a small donation of 1 euro will be accepted for the organization “Armut und Gesundheit” (Poverty and Health). 

The following items may be exchanged: gardening supplies, balcony decorations, sporting goods, toys, books, CDs & DVDs, household goods, electrical appliances, home furnishings, etc. 

The following must be left at home: clothing, shoes, dirty items, building materials, mattresses, bedding, rugs, curtains, heaters (radiators, oil-fired heaters), auto parts, hazardous chemicals (pesticides, solvent-based liquids, oils), live animals, food.

Monday–Friday: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
Every first Saturday of the month: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
