New burial options in Mainz
Scattering the ashes of a deceased family member in the forest or sharing a grave with a beloved pet: These are two new burial options that Wirtschaftsbetrieb Mainz, the operator of the city’s 12 cemeteries, will begin offering this summer at the Mombach Forest Cemetery.
In addition, there are two new burial plots at the Main Cemetery for so-called water urns. And cloth burials are now also permitted at all cemeteries in Mainz. The City Council has passed a corresponding ordinance.
