Purpose of the association

Get fit without going to the gym. Fitness training is a great way to build strength and improve endurance. At Fitness-Verein Mainz, we train together and do full-body exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, squats, burpees, and dips.

Constantly changing circuits and exercises add variety and bring new momentum to the training. The focus is on both muscle building and strength endurance. This type of training is called calisthenics, and we do both Tabata interval training and circuit training with a focus on muscle building. We get free training plans from online-fitness-coaching.com or other reliable sources.

Whenever possible, training takes place outdoors. During the winter months, we try to rent the local sports hall. Anyone who would like to improve their physical fitness is welcome to join us. Apart from sports shoes, training clothes, and a training mat, no sports equipment or other items are required. There are no club fees, but in winter the costs of the sports hall are shared by all members.
