The Technical Services department repairs and inspects all playground equipment and facilities in playgrounds and green spaces, repairs and maintains its own fleet of vehicles and machinery, operates and repairs all decorative fountains, water playgrounds, sprinkler systems, and drinking fountains, and carries out simple maintenance work on buildings. It also repairs paths, fences, and water pipes in all allotment garden associations, issues simple building permits for garden sheds, prepares lease invoices, and acts as the point of contact for allotment gardens in Mainz.
