Brief description

How should the Mainz district of Ebersheim develop in the coming years? Around 200 interested citizens discussed this question in Ebersheim in June 2022 during two public events. Based on a position paper by deputy mayor Hubert Heimann, numerous proposals were developed in various areas such as construction, the environment, transportation, social affairs, and education.

Citizen participation

An informational event took place on June 7, 2022. In addition to residents, the event was attended by then-Mayor Michael Ebling, District Administrator Anette Odenweller, and Head of Urban Development Manuela Matz. A presentation by Hubert Heimann also kicked off the “Ebersheim 2040” initiative.

On June 25, a second event took place, featuring workshops on the following topics that emerged from the first event: Mobility, A Vibrant Town Center, Ebersheim for Children and Youth, Education, Aging in Place, and Future Urban Development in Ebersheim.
