French flair in the old town

Velvet and silk armchairs, shimmering ornamental patterns on high walls, golden ceilings and matching details in gold and brass – the café "Le Tosh" brings the French flair of the 1920s to Mainz's old town.

Cake at Le Tosh

In true salon style, visitors can relax with coffee and homemade cake—a passion of managing director Marion Becker. While guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning, the bistro kitchen provides smaller dishes such as quiche, veggie bowls, and salads for lunch. "At 'Le Tosh', we want to offer people the opportunity to take a break from their stressful everyday lives, switch off with good conversation, and let themselves be pampered," explains Becker, who runs the bistro together with her business partner "Tosh."

Her passion for cooking, baking, and especially the joy of being a hostess led Becker to make a career change into the restaurant business, as she has actually been running the fashion and decoration store Girlande right next door since 1981.
