Running Day
Running Day brings people together who have one thing in common - the joy of movement.
Initiated by German Road Races (GRR), the German Athletics Association (DLV) and laufen.de. The state capital of Mainz is also taking part and organizing the Running Day together with the LEX running experts.
Whether you’re just starting out, run regularly, or simply want to get active together: Run with us, feel the energy of the community, and experience how good it feels to be out and about. Running Day isn’t about setting personal bests. It’s about getting started, breathing in fresh air, finding new motivation, and enjoying the wonderful feeling of crossing the finish line—no matter how far you’ve run.
Mayor and Sports Commissioner Daniel Köbler will be there to send us off on the course together with you. You’ll also have the chance to test out running shoes from Brooks and CEP. The first 200 runners to register on-site will receive a free scoop of ice cream at N’Eis. To ensure everyone runs at a comfortable pace, we’re offering different pace groups (5, 6, or 7 min/km, as well as a walking group). The guided runs last approximately 40 minutes.
Running Day is the perfect way to get in the mood for the Mainz Three Bridges Run powered by BioNTech, taking place on June 21.
