When a hotel chain operating across Europe tailors its facilities and services to the region in which it operates, that is worthy of recognition, according to the jury. The Best Of Wine Tourism Award 2019 in the accommodation category is therefore awarded to the 4-star IBB Hotel, which opened in 2017 and offers 109 rooms.
All rooms reflect the design of the Rheinhessen wine region. Natural materials are mixed with modern design elements and colors, images, and stylistic elements related to wine. The corridors are carpeted in the blue of Pinot Noir grapes with woven-in vine leaves. The light-flooded restaurant and hotel bar are located on the 4th floor and offer a view over the rooftops of Ingelheim. Wine events are offered in the hotel's own restaurant or as part of gourmet tours of the region in a vintage bus.
