When a hotel chain operating across Europe tailors its facilities and services to the region in which it operates, that is worthy of recognition, according to the jury. The Best Of Wine Tourism Award 2019 in the accommodation category is therefore awarded to the 4-star IBB Hotel, which opened in 2017 and offers 109 rooms.

The design of all the spaces draws inspiration from the Rheinhessen wine region. Natural materials are combined with modern design elements, along with colors, artwork, and stylistic touches centered on the theme of wine. The hallways feature carpet in the blue hue of Pinot Noir grapes, with vine leaves woven into the fabric. The light-filled restaurant and hotel bar are located on the 4th floor and offer a view over the rooftops of Ingelheim. Wine events are offered in the hotel’s own restaurant or as part of gourmet tours of the region aboard a vintage bus.
