Free “Thirst-Quencher” Stickers for Stores Now Available at the Mainz Environmental Store
Starting immediately, restaurant owners and shop owners can pick up free “Thirst-Quencher” stickers at the Mainz Environmental Store. By displaying the sticker prominently, they show that dogs can get free water at their establishments. This way, dog owners can see at a glance where they can refill their four-legged friend’s water bottle while out and about.
The idea for the project came from Namuun Dahlen, who is currently completing her Cultural Volunteer Service (FSJK) in the public relations department of the Mainz city administration. She developed the concept, coordinated it with the relevant departments, and oversaw the design of the sticker.
“Especially on warm days, it’s important for dogs to have access to fresh water at all times when out and about. With this sticker, we want to make it clear where four-legged friends are welcome and can easily get something to drink. I’d be delighted if as many shops and restaurants as possible participate in this initiative and thus make a small contribution to animal welfare,” says Namuun Dahlen.
The free stickers are available at the Mainz Environmental Store (Steingasse 3–9). Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
