The Citizen Services Office and all local administrative offices of the state capital of Mainz will be closed today, Monday, September 28, 2026. Due to a technical issue, the software required to provide these services is currently unavailable. As things stand, this will unfortunately affect operations for the entire day.

All appointments scheduled for today will be canceled via email. The online appointment booking system remains available. Residents can use it to schedule a new appointment.

The City Council Information System is also affected by the technical issue. Unfortunately, further disruptions to city services cannot be ruled out at this time. 

For general inquiries, the city administration remains available by phone and email. Residents can also find information at mainz.de. The government hotline 115 is also available. Please note that wait times may be longer due to increased call volume.

The city administration will provide an update as soon as services can be restored and asks for your understanding.
