Our mission statement
Changes in social conditions also require constant adaptation at the municipal level. Sustainable concepts for our city require not only an efficient infrastructure, but also a shared, consistent set of goals and values.
This mission statement is based on shared values, goals, and convictions. It is also an expression of our special responsibility toward citizens, the economy, business partners, and politics. It serves as an internal guide and shapes our self-image, creating transparency.
Our city
Most decisions, trends, and processes of change in our society are also reflected in Mainz: cultural diversity and economic growth, subjective security, and ecological developments can be experienced here just as much as social hardship, exclusion, or unemployment.
This results in tasks for our city, the most important agent of which is the municipal administration. The wide range of public services, infrastructure measures, and regulatory tasks constitute the public services for the people who live and work here. These people are undoubtedly our clients, and we are committed to them.
For the citizens
Our services are indispensable to citizens. Their quality, their real-life relevance, reliability, and predictability are therefore always a yardstick for the state of democratic and civic culture in our city. Through our work, we ensure that social, cultural, and economic life can flourish effectively and enrich and promote our community.
