Sports administration

The department organizes municipal sporting events such as the Mainz Three Bridges Run and the athletes' awards. It plans and develops sports facilities, supports clubs with grants, provides sports facilities and halls and informs citizens on all sports topics. It awards the Mainz Sports Prize and is responsible for sports development planning in the state capital.
