Go where the locals go! The Schreiner wine house is one of those places with genuine Mainz wine bar cosiness, paired with that certain something. The unassuming, almost forbidding façade is deceptive: inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The impressive wine list includes many Rheinhessen wines, all of which are served by the glass, as well as over 100 bottled wines from Rheinhessen, Rheingau, and Mosel, as well as Southern Europe and Australia. The trained staff provide expert advice on wine selection.

The menu is adjusted weekly, depending on market availability and supply. Guests can look forward to classic wine bar fare, as well as special dishes that sometimes venture beyond regional boundaries. The Assfalg family attaches great importance to the origin of their food, so that it can be served with a clear conscience. Because cooking is a labor of love here!
