The Mainz Municipal Data Center (KDZ Mainz) offers a central platform for the joint technical operation of edoo.sys RLP via the Association for Information Technology and Data Processing of Municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate (ZIDKOR).

The edoo.sys software is provided as a hosting service to all interested municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate. Access is possible directly via the Rhineland-Palatinate municipal network (kNRP) or via the Internet. The system technology is designed to be redundant.

An important aspect of the operating model is the high requirements for data protection and data security, as personal data with a high need for protection is processed.

Two billing models have been designed for the provision of edoo.sys RLP. Permanent users for users who work in edoo.sys RLP all year round (school administrators, administrative/secretarial staff, IT administrators) and temporary users for users who work in edoo.sys RLP exclusively for the purpose of creating report cards. There is no purchase obligation for temporary users. Currently, edoo.sys RLP is not mandatory for creating report cards; only the entry of grades in edoo.sys RLP is mandatory.
