VOIS / MESO

VOIS/MESO is the resident information system in Rhineland-Palatinate.

On June 2, 2020, the new VOIS /MESO IT procedure was launched in Rhineland-Palatinate for all 170 registration authorities. The web-based software supports the registration, passport, and ID card authorities with all the functionalities required for comprehensive task completion in accordance with federal and state regulations. VOIS /MESO also supports the preparation and conduct of elections and referendums. The citizen monitor and the e-file remain an integral part of the system. The system was developed by HSH Software und Hardware Vertriebs GmbH (opens in a new tab) and is also used in other federal states.

The registration authorities maintain the registration register under their own responsibility. A central view of all registration register data is provided via an integration system. This integration system serves as the basis for central registration tasks.

VOIS / MESO manages the data of over 4 million residents.
