This specialized procedure supports registrars in all processes for which they are responsible under the Civil Status Act.
Electronic civil status register (ePR)
The introduction of the new electronic civil registry ePR for all municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate was completed in October 2013.
This electronic civil registry replaces the previous civil registry books (marriage registry, civil partnership registry, birth registry, death registry) in Germany. Each entry is provided with the permanently verifiable qualified electronic signature of the registrar.
