In addition to debt management, the department manages and plans financial and liquidity positions to ensure the organization’s ability to meet its payment obligations at all times, and processes guarantees on behalf of third parties. Furthermore, it is responsible for issuing bonds and making investments in accordance with the investment policy.

The Controlling Division prepares financial reports as of the annual reporting dates of April 30 and September 30 and handles controlling functions.

The Foundation Administration Division is responsible for managing all independent and dependent foundations and estates within the City of Mainz. This also includes asset management in the form of foundation-owned land and real estate.
