The civil partnership certificate serves as proof that you have entered into a civil partnership. You can obtain it from the registry office that registered your civil partnership or that retroactively registered your civil partnership if it was entered into abroad.

The civil partnership certificate contains:

• Your first and last names before and during the civil partnership
• Place and date of birth of the civil partner
• The place and date the civil partnership was established

You can obtain the civil partnership certificate in the following formats:

• Certificate
• Certified printout from the civil partnership registry

A certified printout from the civil partnership registry contains all the information that the civil registry office has recorded in connection with the civil partnership.

In addition to the original details, the printout also includes subsequent changes, such as the dissolution of the civil partnership or its conversion into a marriage.

Civil partnership certificates contain personal information; therefore, their issuance is subject to data protection restrictions.
