The Eppard restaurant in the 100 Guldenmühle in Appenheim has been recognized for its sustainability in wine tourism. A historic grain mill dating back over 150 years is located in the restored old mill complex in an idyllic setting.
At the intersection of no fewer than eight hiking and cycling trails through the region, regional Mediterranean dishes are served with wines from Appenheim and the surrounding area. Sustainability and quality are evident not only in the selection of products, but also in the preservation of the building fabric and thus the identity of Rheinhessen. Reason enough for the jury to honor Eva Eppard's commitment with a Best of Award.
