Data processing and your rights in the context of the naturalization application

Information from the Mainz city administration in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Summary

As part of the digital naturalization application, information and documents can be submitted to the relevant naturalization authority, which will use them to prepare its decision on whether to approve or reject the application. Before uploading the documents, you can black out information that is not required for the application, such as particularly sensitive data such as health data, etc., thus giving you control over which of your data is processed. The online service does not replace the personal on-site appointment, but only serves to prepare for it. The quick check is for informational purposes only, and your details and the results of the quick check will not be sent to the relevant naturalization authority. The quick check will be deleted 30 minutes after the application is submitted or after three hours of inactivity on your part.
