Salon 3SEIN - Be free in "3SEIN"

The "Drei-Viertel" in the Große Bleiche
All good things come in threes. That's probably what Norbert Schön and Maribel Arnau thought too. With the "Salon 3SEIN" which opened in April, the "schon schön" cultural club, and the "café blumen," the couple who run these establishments have created their own
neighborhood in Große Bleiche. The city's famous magenta neon signs now shine unmistakably as a trio, radiating a sense of wholeness.
There is more to this unusual name than just the numbering of the locations! Salon 3SEIN combines Schön's and Arnaus' ideas, wishes, and previous gastronomic experiences from "schon schön" and "café blumen" to create an interesting concept with depth. "We see the new restaurant as the next stage. We wanted to create something more mature and grown-up, in keeping with our age," explains Schön with a wink.
The idea behind it: in the salon, people can strike up conversations, talk about everything under the sun, not just in one-on-one conversations, but in groups. Not alone and not just in pairs, the goal is to be "3Sein" (three beings). Guests at the salon should feel free and comfortable—just like in a living room (French: salon)! A large table at the back of the room and the long bar—the heart of the salon—make this possible.
A sophisticated mix of styles creates a chic ambience. Gold and brass details on the ceiling, furniture, and décor are reminiscent of the 1920s style. Geometric shapes reflect the linearity of the Bauhaus concept. An eye-catching feature of the salon is the parrot wallpaper, which, in combination with palm trees, gives the room a tropical flair. The salon atmosphere is perfect every Thursday evening when a bar pianist accompanies the guests' conversations with jazz music.
The fact that Schön and Arnau complement each other in their joint project is also evident in the drinks and food menu. While they serve white wines from Rheinhessen, the red wines come from Spain—Arnau's homeland.
3SEIN starts with breakfast and offers delicious homemade cakes, soups, and salads during the day. In the evening, it returns to its Spanish roots with a varied tapas menu.
