Stone with shovel and flowers

More green instead of gray: The state capital of Mainz is participating in the nationwide "abpflastern" (unpaving) competition. From March 21 to October 31, 2026, every area that is freed from paving or concrete counts.

Who can participate: Citizens, companies, associations, initiatives

Suitable areas: Front yards, courtyards, driveways, parking lots, schoolyards
