Poster with the title "Heating with understanding"

On October 2, 2025, the first public forum on municipal heat planning (KWP) took place at the Hechtsheim community center. 100 participants took the opportunity to learn about heat planning and the heat transition in Mainz and to talk directly with experts.

Insights into the inventory and potential analysis

The evening focused on the initial results of municipal heat planning based on an analysis of the current situation and potential. These show how heating is currently provided in Mainz and what opportunities there are for the heat transition. Citizens were particularly interested in the potential of renovations and the goals of expanding district heating.
