Wine gastronomy national and international award: Restaurant Kupferberg, Mainz

Die Verleihung des Awards folgte während der Ägide von Spitzenköchin und Geschäftsführerin Eva Eppard im Restaurant Kupferberg. Seit März 2017 ist diese nicht mehr im Restaurant Kupferberg tätig. Der Restaurantbetrieb mit dem bisherigen Küchenteam wurde fortgeführt durch die Pächter, Wolfram und Julia Richter. 2023 stand ein weiterer Wechsel an: Das Restaurant wird nun von der Mainzer Eulchenbrauerei geführt, auf der Karte stehen weiterhin frische, regionale Küche und erlesene Weine.
The jury awarded the Kupferberg restaurant in Mainz the national and international award in the wine gastronomy category for its successful blend of sophisticated, regionally inspired cuisine, a comprehensive wine list with a focus on Rheinhessen wines, and its location in the premises of the former Kupferberg sparkling wine cellars.
The historic atmosphere of the traditional Kupferberg establishment combines an elegant ambience with 200 years of sparkling wine culture. Thanks to the restaurant, both the architectural gem and the beautiful, park-like garden are accessible to a wide audience.
