The Lord Mayor's Office reports directly to the Lord Mayor and supports him strategically and in an advisory capacity, coordinates the processes between the individual departments and manages the business of the City Executive Board. Staff units for central cross-cutting issues such as citizen participation, equality, integration, housing, biotechnology and sustainability of the Mainz city administration are bundled in this department.
